TEAM TUTORING

Mentors are needed M-F from 3:00-5:30 to tutor and mentor high school students in a variety of topics. All subject areas needed. Come 1-2 times a week on YOUR schedule. Enjoy a wide variety of activities along with tutoring– teambuilding, service projects, and 4-H Club activities (oh– and FOOD!)

A little bit about TEAM:
TEAM is an after school club for all 9-12th grade students. At our daily club meetings we do fun team-building activities that develop life skills, service projects that help us get to know our community better, tutor elementary-age children, and hold 4-H club focused on one of our key topics (Health & Nutrition, Home & Community, The Arts, Career Readiness, and STEM Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

CAPSA YOUTH COUNCIL

CAPSA Youth Council is an organization of students grades 9-12 who participate in service projects, educational teaching opportunities (on topics like dating violence & healthy relationships), and help spread awareness about these topics to their peers and the community.

STOKES NATURE CENTER

Stokes Nature Center provides programs to help students of all ages discover the wonders of nature first-hand: to hear the song of the black-capped chickadee; to delve into the world of river researchers; to discover the fascinating critters that share our valley and canyons; and to see the world through a new perspective. As the only nature center in Cache Valley, Stokes Nature Center provides a variety of high-quality, hands-on programs for school children, community groups, families, and the general public. Our programs offer information, discovery, and exploration of the natural world.

CACHE HUMANE SOCIETY (Ages 16+)

Do you have the kindness and compassion to treat the animals in our care with the love and respect they most deserve? Join our team and become a great CHS volunteer! As a CHS volunteer, you will be giving back to the community, while gaining a unique understanding about rescued animals. You will meet new friends and make new connections in the local area. Plus, we often employ from our committed volunteer pool.

We currently have opportunities in our Dog Spot, Cat Castle and Animal Clinic. You will gain hands-on experience, helping rescued animals become adopted to a new forever home!

You should be at least 16 years old, Very caring and yet calm and assertive around animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. Confident and courteous with people from all backgrounds. And the ability to work independently.

FOUR PAWS RESCUE

Four Paws Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to helping homeless dogs and cats. Four Paws Rescue rescues stray and abandoned cats, dogs, puppies and kittens from high-kill shelters. We place them in caring foster homes (if available) and then adopt them into loving homes. We have placed over 4,000 companion animals into adoptive homes since 2005, while enriching the lives of their adoptive families.

COMMON GROUND OUTDOOR ADVENTURES (16+ or younger with adult supervision)

Common Ground is a private non-profit organization which provides life-enhancing recreational opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities. Common Ground provides adaptive equipment and support, which enable people with disabilities to participate in outdoor recreation. These experiences reduce stereotypes, raise awareness and empower people to realize their full potential.

LITTLE LAMBS COMFORT KITS FOR CHILDREN

We aim to provide kids of Cache Valley & surrounding areas who have been placed in Foster Care, shelter, and other traumatic situations or who have been hospitalized by providing them with a little comfort in a bag or whatever needs deemed necessary. The comfort kits will be given to the Department of Family Services so they can give them to each child as they Transition into Foster Care.
